Ribbon Cutting @ AML Early Childhood Play Center
The officially recognized Early Childhood Play Center at Austin Memorial Library is a vibrant space designed to support early learning through play. As part of the Family Place Library Network, the center provides educational tools and materials to help families achieve early childhood development goals. Completely "imagination" powered, the play center features different activity areas focused on dramatic play, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills. Through engaging experiences, children can explore, create, and develop essential skills in a fun and supportive environment. In addition to the play center, AML offers three weekly story times, annual parenting workshops, and a variety of family-centered programs. These resources aim to foster early literacy, social-emotional growth, and school readiness. Families are encouraged to take advantage of this welcoming space to learn and play together. Austin Memorial Library is committed to creating a strong foundation for lifelong learning through its Early Childhood Play Center and Family Place Library initiatives.
